A roundtable discussion with an orthopedic surgeon

Paul J. Mason, M.D.


Dr. Mason will discuss what an independent medical examination (IME) is, the process an orthopedic goes through to prepare for an IME, the records and/or imaging that are important for the doctor to accurately assess the case, videotaping of IMEs and social media posts/photographs of damage to the vehicle and/or the injuries.  Dr. Mason most frequently addresses the serious injury threshold, range of motion testing and pre-existing or underlying co-morbidities.
